| Rockwood
is our cottage at the lake near Cave Rock on the Nevada side of
Tahoe. The bedrooms and living room all look out upon the lake
which is only a stones throw away. Cave Rock area fishing is about
the best at Tahoe due to the multitude of spawn than inhabit the
shallow waters.
The casino's at Stateline are
but five minutes away, and easy access to Heavenly's Nevada
ski slopes is via Kingsbury Grade. This charming, rustic vacation
cottage, was originally built by a geologist who created its
walls with rocks of various colors that he had collected in
the High Sierra and out in the desert. He built an interesting
stone fireplace in the master bedroom and a living room wall
of rocks of a dozen different colors. We like to call it our
Geode, a rock with rustic exterior but with a sparking, colorful
and bright interior.
